About Reformation Trust

Founded in 2006 as a publishing imprint of Ligonier Ministries, Reformation Trust Publishing seeks to produce books that are true to the historic Christian faith.

Ligonier’s other book imprint, Soli Deo Gloria Publications, is solidly established as a premier publisher of titles by some of the most godly men of the past—the Puritans. Reformation Trust complements Soli Deo Gloria’s line by publishing books by Reformed pastors and scholars of the present.

In an interview on Ligonier’s daily radio broadcast, Renewing Your Mind, Dr. Sproul explained the name and the significance of this publishing imprint.

“The word Reformation defines the theological perspective we’re committed to propagating at Ligonier—that recovery of biblical Christianity in the sixteenth century,” Dr. Sproul said. “We want to produce materials that are consistent and faithful to that tradition. Trust involves a kind of fidelity and the idea of a legacy. Our legacy, our trust, is to be faithful to the biblical tradition.”

As part of the Ligonier family of ministries, Reformation Trust is designed to produce books that make the great truths of the Christian faith clear to laypeople. Early titles from Reformation Trust have delved into the doctrines of God’s sovereign grace and examined issues such as worship and evangelism.

The authors whose names appear on the covers of Reformation Trust titles are leading Reformed pastors and scholars, men who are adept at rightly handling the Word of God. These include Dr. Sproul, Dr. Steven J. Lawson, Rev. Richard D. Phillips, and others.

All Reformation Trust titles are of high quality, not just in terms of their theological integrity, but in their writing and editing; their design and typesetting; their production; and their packaging. The goal is that Reformation Trust books will last for many years and will be attractive additions to readers’ shelves.
